Age is just a number, right?
I never thought much about it until I turned 50 a few years ago. It seemed as if a second wind blew in and the adventures of life started over again as well as figuring out that there are other things which might be enjoyed but had not been given the chance before. That is how “The Laughing Nanny” blog came to be. I love to write but can’t tell a story worth a flip so I combined some efforts, decided to look over the errors that just won’t go away because I only make them worse, and hit the web with both feet (or ten fingers) flying. It is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Well, except for being blessed with a son that means more than life itself, a daughter in law I gladly call daughter and a small but increasingly growing army of grandchildren where each one considers Nanny their own personal play toy.
When I first started this blog, it wasn’t for any fame or glory, just stories to pass on to my kiddo. But as time passed and I had more stories coming from my fingers, I realized there were many things that needed to be told, shared, that wasn’t necessarily about family or even friends. Just ‘something’ that triggered an interest and immediately formed an idea. I changed my mind somewhat and began to see what would happen. So that’s what I did.
Other times, it might just be a thought process of something that may or may not need sharing.
I live a tiny, simple life with my best friend Hershey, the Chihuahua Wonder-Dog, Gypsy Belle, the beloved Airstream I called home for a while, and Gypsy ~ The Cherokee, the traveling home. Roots? I don’t know what they are anymore.
I hope you find something in these tales and stories that resonates within you.
Thank you all for stopping by!
